"Been coming here since it was called Inira's from my university days 35 years ago. They've since expanded from one shoplot to three lots, a testament to their popularity. Never fail to come back for each of our Penang holidays. And as usual, the BLR is superb and filling, the mutton tender and spicy. All in all, a satisfactory meal."

"Tasty, comfy food for lunch is the best. As a first timer, I asked my friend for recommendations. He ordered each of us a Tomato rice banana leaf meal with sides of Fried bitter gourd and Special chicken to share. Tomato rice Banana leaf meal. What will you get? For RM12, you'll get tomato rice, 3 sides of veggies and papadam. 3 types of curry (dhal, fish and chicken) were given to eat with the rice. You can let them know how much rice and sides you want them to serve. It's slightly on the expensive side for me, even though you can add more rice. But no complaints, as the rice was flavourful with spices and tomato taste. Fried bitter gourd. One of my favourites. RM7 per plate. Crunchy, and well seasoned with no bitterness at all. Special chicken. Honestly, it's not that special to me. It tastes similar to what we cook at home (if you cook Indian dishes). For RM11, I don't think I'll repeat this again. Overall, it was a good experience dining there. We arrived 20 mins before serving time and yet they greeted us warmly and had us seated. A waiter quickly came to take our orders and drinks arrived shortly after. Even after we had finished our meal, an uncle came to check with us whether the food was okay. Amazing customer service. I really love their tomato rice and will definitely go there again for that. Perhaps next time I will order other dishes to eat with the rice. For Muslims, you can dine there with confidence as they're certified Halal (saw the cert but didn't take picture)."

"One of the best Indian food restaurant in town. Became my favourite restaurant and the one I visit regularly. They serve banana leaf set with white rice or tomato rice, 3 types of vege, papad, pickle, rasam and 3 types of gravy(sambar, chicken & fish curry). Add on items are pretty good too. Price is a bit high compared to other Indian restaurants but the quality of the food is worth for the price. Usually crowded during lunch and dinner time. Parking would be a bit difficult. Staffs are friendly"

"I’ve visited this restaurant since many years ago. From a single shop till the full fledged 3 combined shop lot now. It wasn’t a surprise since they serve really good authentic banana leaf. They had various offerings and I love the tomato rice. Their fried chicken as good as ever. Mutton curry and chicken curry were nice. Even my foreign colleague from Vietnam likes it. Lassi was authentic and filling."

"This was my first time trying banana leaf, and to my surprise, I really enjoyed the meal. The vegetable condiments were delicious — honestly, I could’ve eaten just the rice with curry and those condiments alone. I also ordered a few additional side dishes, and everything was tasty. The service was good, the place was clean, and overall the food was satisfying."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved the banana leaf meal here! The food was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly spiced, everything tasted authentic and comforting. The variety of curries and sides were well-balanced, and portions were generous. My favourite was the fried bitter gourd, not oily at all, perfectly crunchy, almost like popcorn! The environment is calming, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Absolute love for this place. Will definitely come back again"

"The food here is really good. Even though the food is served in less than 10 mins, the taste and quality are still there. Super tasty and friendly staff, too. Masala sotong is really nice. Fried chicken if order small, not enough to eat. The fried bendi is also really good. Will come back again for sure."
